Akash Sunethkumara is a Sri Lankan filmmaker/writer/actor with an interest in martial arts, action and compelling stories. He is the founder of the High School Junkies.

Making short content since 2014, his passion for cinematic storytelling started out as a kid. But it was in 2015 that he gathered a rag tag group of friends who had disbanded after high school and ended up creating Star_Crossed.

 

Soon after that, he pitched them the idea for what would become EIDETIC, the first Sri Lankan short film to be accepted into San Diego Comic -Con.

A lecturer in his spare time, he imparts knowledge to students and aims to inspire more youngsters to create films and leave behind a legacy.
